A QUICK NOTE FROM FILTERA |
Finally 3M has applied their filtration expertise to the commercial market. Most everyone is familiar with the great success that 3M has had with their Filtrete line of home air filters. Now they have developed a great set of products for the commercial user. 3M (and Filtera) now offer four different models of Filtrete commercial mini-pleat filters that should satisfy most commercial users. They are rigidly constructed from 100% synthetic media. They have a low pressure drop and come in either mid or high performance models (and each is available with or without their unique gasketing system to limit air by-pass). |

EFFICIENCY DURING USE |
Particle capture efficiency of electrostatically charged filters has been shown to decrease during actual use. The timeframe and the extent to which this decrease occurs depend on particle size and loading conditions. This effect has been observed in as little as one week to six weeks of actual use. Actual particle efficiencies during use may be lower than those shown, also depending on particle size and loading conditions. |

SERVICE LIFE |
Filter should be replaced before reaching a final resistance of 1.40 inches (3.56 cm) of water to maintain design performance of the filter. Certain system designs may require filter replacement at lower resistances. DEMONSTRATED FILTRATION EFFICIENCY |
Filtrete Commercial High Performance HVAC Utility Filters have been tested by independent laboratories in accordance with ASHRAE 52.1-1992 and 52.2-1999 standards. Electret-based filter media is known to decrease in efficiency under many environmental conditions. To evaluate filter efficiency during actual use, additional testing to simulate in-use performance has been carried out.
